What to see and do in Périgord?
Places, monuments and activities

Capital of the Périgord Noir
The city of Sarlat-la-Canéda

Sarlat is known for having a high density of listed historical monuments. Its history dates back to the Middle Ages. It is the first town to have been restored thanks to the Malraux law of 1964. Many monuments are therefore to be discovered such as the facade of the Maison de la Boëtie, the Sainte Marie Church and its panoramic elevator, as well as the Manor of Gisson. To fully discover the flavors of the region, go to the Sarlat market where you will awaken your taste buds to local products: truffles, nuts, strawberries, foie gras, porcini mushrooms and many others. To find out what you can do in Sarlat, visit the town's tourist office website.

Festivals and cultural events Unmissable events

In Sarlat, many festivals and events punctuate the year. We look forward to seeing you at the Film Festival, Fest'oie, the Theater Games Festival, the Walnut Festival, the Taste and Gastronomy Days, the Truffle Festival, the Terroir Days , at La Ringueta or at the Christmas Market.
